GDC No. 61048

Estan qualified from the University of Glasgow Dental Hospital and School in 1986, and is currently studying for an Orthodontics at the University of Warwick.

“I really love Orthodontics as it allows us to make life changing improvements without the need to revert to veneers and crowns. It’s the green side of dentistry!”

He is especially proud of designing the® removable brace system, which has allowed patients to achieve great looking smiles within their budget.

His cosmetic smile makeovers use traditional and cosmetically focused orthodontic systems using both Removable and Fixed Cosmetic Braces; DAMON®SYSTEM,®, Six Month Smiles® and Fastbraces®, Ceramic Veneers, Dental Bridgework and Dentures, Tooth Whitening and Reshaping.

Due to his study commitments he has had to postpone his charity work abroad where he provides free treatment to under privileged children. This proved to be an amazing experience last year and he is planning to return next year.

In what little spare time he has, Estan has a great passion for developing software applications and has started building electronic gadgets. He spends endless amount of hours on this combined with his other passion of drinking coffee. He is a closet “Trecky” fan, and loves “The Big Bang Theory”, “Gold Rush” and “Alaskan Bush People” He clearly has way too much time on his hands!!

blankSharon Balkin B.Sc. OHS (Man)

Therapist and Hygienist

GDC No. 103103

Sharon has worked with her husband Estan since purchasing the practice in 1996. In 2006 she qualified from Manchester University Dental Hospital as a Therapist/Hygieniest. Her role in the practice has evolved and changed over the years and together with Estan has jointly designed the ® removable brace system.

Unlike Estan, Sharon’s passion lies in lots of things!! and she is constantly looking a new business ideas and concepts. She enjoys designing products and is an avid reader of marketing and design books and articles. She also enjoys looking at the links between systemic disease such as diabetes, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease and periodontal disease and trying to find ways to enhance and help these patients achieve better oral health.

Sharon could easily spend hours and hours in a book shop, much to the delight of Estan who is quite happy that she dislikes clothes shopping! She enjoys swimming, yoga, pilates and swims daily 70-80 lengths. She dosent give up easily, however after trying jogging and failing miserably, she has finally held her hands up in the air and given up!! That’s probably why the jogging isn’t working, she is running with her hands in the air!!
